The Impact Center was launched by Del. Sam Rasoul (D-Roanoke) in 2016 to empower progressive nominees and eliminate barriers to running for office. Since then, more than 2,000 activists and candidates have received free training across Virginia. In the 2019 election cycle, we assisted more than 25 campaigns with strategic and tactical political consultation. Many of these candidates were integral in flipping Virginia Blue.

We never participate in negative politics because we believe there's a better way to win. Our mission is to teach candidates to use values-based messaging and neuroscience to connect with voters and run successful campaigns. We're dedicated to bridging the rural-urban divide and uplifting marginalized voices.
